Old into new...

Before I had the terrarium setup, my 25gl tank used to be a Discus tank. The discus tank had been setup for 3 or so years, but I slowly got tired of it. I got lasy with cleaning and tired of everything else, so I took it down.I didnt know what to do with all the plants in the tank. I saw some old powerheads in my basement, rocks, and other things and thought, hey, I should try making a terrarium. I had read about them before, but I just put this tank up in one day, with 90% of the materials from past tanks. Right now this tank houses 2 firebellied toads, and one clown plecostumus that I never got out from taking down the discus tank and is MIA. Whether or not the toads have eaten it, I dont know.

My Background

Before this terrarium, the only type of amphibian Ive kept have been frog tadpoles I had caught in a pond when I was little. I also have 2 saltwater reef tanks setup(which you can see from the link below) and 4 other freshwater tanks, one of which houses my 6 year old piranha Simon. What I hope to do with my terrarium is have it fully live planted, with terrestial and freshwater plants all over in this tank. Please stop back often to check for new siteupdates.
